THE AS V. Club and TP Mazembe made a triumphant entry into the return phase of the 26th edition of the National Football League (Linafoot) this Wednesday, February 17. They beat respectively the Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshasa and Lubumbashi Sport.

At the Martyrs’ stadium in Kinshasa, the battle between AS V. Club and JSK was hard. The Muscovites did not find it easy against their very determined opponents. In a very committed match, V. Club finally won by scoring the only goal of the game. It was the work of Mayamba in the 66th minute.

If for AS V. Club was not easy against JSK, there was no question of that for TP Mazembe. At the Kibasa Maliba stadium in Lubumbashi, the Ravens pulled off their coup. They won (3-1), in the match of the 16th day of the national championship (Linafoot).

Picked cold, the Ravens scored a goal in the 15th minute. Wandenga’s free kick beat the Ivorian goalkeeper Sylvain Gbohou (1-0). In the 32nd minute Kofi Kouame equalised from the penalty spot (1-1). A goal everywhere, score at the break.

In the second half, nothing seems to work for the Kamikazes of Lubumbashi, even though they are well into the match. A cross from Djos Issama, Adam Bossu cut the trajectory to give the advantage to the TPM in the 54th minute (1-2). Difficult to stop, Bossu did it again in the 84th minute and scored a double which allowed TP Mazembe to win by 3 to 1.

With this success, Les Corbeaux de Lubumbashi regained the lead of the provisional standings (35 points +22) with a late game not yet scheduled. AS V. Club, who defeated JSK (1-0) also has 35 points +15 with a late match. Obviously, it is the big battle for first place between Vita Club and TP Mazembe in this return phase of the Congolese championship.
