To qualify for the FIBA AfroBasket Kigali 2021, the Leopards need only a victory in the third window of the qualifiers. Scheduled for February 19 to 21, this final qualifying phase will be played in Monastir (Tunisia) where the Leopards are already staying.

In spite of serious financial problems, the Leopards will finally be able to validly defend the Congolese flag. All the athletes are on site in Monastir, with the exception of Jordan Shako who missed his flight for administrative reasons. He will be joining the group shortly, confirmed the authorities.

Three matches await the Congolese wild animals on the spot in Monastir. Friday, February 19 against CAR at 19H GMT; Saturday, February 20 against Tunisia at 16H GMT and Sunday, February 21 against the Barea of Madagascar at 19H GMT. A single victory is enough for the Leopards to qualify for the final tournament scheduled for 4 August to 5 September in Kigali.

As a reminder, twenty teams divided into five groups of four take part in this last window of the qualifiers. The three best teams in each group will be directly qualified for the FIBA AfroBasket 2021.
