Suspended for Vital Kamereh’s health reasons , this appeal trial will take place in the absence of the accused whose state of health, according to the message addressed to his activists, will be represented by his lawyers.
This trial is particularly focusing the attention of his political family who is expecting his acquittal as himself.

Sentenced to 20 years in prison in the first degree, Vital Kamerhe was accused of embezzlement of funds allocated to the 100-days program of the Head of State.

Vital Kamerhe, the main ally of the President of the Republic within the framework of the Nairobi agreement which led to the creation of the Cap pour le Changement, is at the head of a political formation called the Union pour la Nation Congolaise, a party with a strong base in the east of the country.
