The special adviser to the Head of State in charge of security met on Wednesday 24 February with diplomats on mission in Kinshasa on the various decisions taken by the authorities in connection with their deployment.

Affected by the murder of one of their own, Luca Attanasio (Italian ambassador to the DRC), killed on Monday 22 February in North Kivu while on his way to Rutshuru on a humanitarian mission, the diplomats wanted to know what really happened in this tragedy and the security conditions in which Luca Attanasio had travelled.

It is in this context that the Special Adviser to the Head of State informed the ambassadors of the security meeting chaired by Félix Tshisekedi and promised them that everything is being done to shed light on the situation.

In addition, François Beya also informed diplomats of the decisions taken by the government in connection with each of their travels which must first require authorization in order to ensure the security of each and everyone especially in the red zones.
