The outgoing chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) Corneille Nangaa and the president of the National Assembly Christophe Mboso had exchanges on Saturday 13 March on the constraints and technical considerations related to the upcoming electoral reforms.

« There is a great debate that is launched on issues of reforms. It is normal that the president of the National Assembly has exchanges and discussions on the constraints and technical considerations related to major options that should be taken, » said Corneille Nangaa at the end of these exchanges, reports Radio Okapi.

For Nangaa, there are some questions that need immediate answers.

« There are issues today that require immediate action. The question of the population census, the question of the electoral file, the question of elections within the deadline of 2023. All these issues require discussion and that is what justifies our presence here, » explained Corneille Nangaa.

He promises that during this March session to present one of the reports on the activities of the institution he leads.
