Civil society is not speaking the same language about the Prime Minister’s consultations where it is expected this Friday. A fringe of this social grouping including the House of Civil Society (MAISOCI), the National Council of Civil Society and other citizen movements denounce attempts to politicize the Prime Minister’s invitation to civil society.

For these groupings, these manoeuvres, which date back to the former regime, will no longer work this time.

« Nothing will be done as before, » said Jean René Swedi who also revealed that an urgent meeting is scheduled for Thursday morning with all civil society leaders whose names have not been included on the guest list at the disabled centre. This meeting could be sanctioned by a joint declaration.

The Head of Government Sama Lukonde is due to receive a 10-person civil society delegation in the early afternoon of Friday 26 February.
