Congolese music star Fally Ipupa joins Facebook to raise awareness for a more responsible use of the internet. An initiative launched as part of the World Day for a Safer Internet. In addition, Groupe Média Trace is also part of this three-week campaign.
To do this, Facebook is drafting clear rules on what is and is not allowed on its platform, it is developing sophisticated technologies to detect and prevent abuse, and it is providing useful tools and resources so that people can control their experience or get help.
The different partners involved in this campaign will have to publish a video that incites responsibility in a context where social networks, despite all their advantages, remain a very dangerous environment for those who either do not master this tool or those who use them for reasons other than those recommended.
« We have strict rules in place against the publication of harmful content, including bullying and harassment, suicide and self-harm, exploitation of children through images and psychological manipulation, non-consensual intimate images (NCII), blackmail, trafficking in human beings, » notes Facebook.
