After the appointment of the Congolese Prime Minister of the Sacred Union of the Nation (USN) in the person of Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde Kyenge, the consultations for the formation of the new government begin this Monday, February 22, 2021 in Kinshasa.

The leaders of political parties, political groups, as well as socio-professional and civil society organisations are all informed of this start of the extremely important work to put in place a government by next March at the latest.

After his appointment, the new Prime Minister, Sama Lukonde Kyenge, had stressed that the size of his government will be reduced, unlike the Ilunga Ilunkamba government. It is to be expected that the various ministries will be merged in order to minimise the costs of the takeover.
