The United Nations Stabilization Mission in Congo, Monusco, has reacted to the death of the Italian ambassador to the DRC. David McLachlan-Karr, acting head of Monusco, said he was shocked by the death of the Italian representative in the DRC.
« I am shocked by the death of Ambassador Luca Attanasio and one of his colleagues, as well as a colleague from the World Food Programme, » said David McLachlan-Karr.
David McLachlan-Karr has no hesitation in holding those responsible for this attack accountable for their crime. He wants to see those behind this action prosecuted.
« Those responsible for this attack must be identified and prosecuted with the utmost determination, » he added.
While expressing support for the WFP, David McLachlan-Karr and Monusco extend their condolences to the families of the three victims of the attack.
